Last year was my first year as a room mom and the first time I helped at a class Valentine’s Day Party. One thing I noticed as I watched our children hand out Valentine’s, was how they were fumbling to get their Valentine’s out of the bag they brought them in to be able hand them out to their friends.
This year, handing out Valentine’s will be a cinch for my boys with this adorable Valentine’s Card Tote I created with my Silhouette and their easy-to-use double-sided adhesive starter kit. Best of all, you can learn how to make you own tote in no time with my simple tutorial below.

Silhouette Glitter Colors
Silhouette Shape 3D Tote Box
Silhouette Shape Valentine Monster
Silhouette Shape Valentine Monster
Silhouette Spatula Tool
Silhouette Brush
Medium weight double-sided scrapbook paper or cardstock
Additional elements like googly-eyes, ribbons, string, etc.
Directions:
In your Silhouette Studio® software program, size and cut the 3D Tote as desired using double-sided scrapbook paper or cardstock. Assemble the 3D Tote Box and secure with adhesive. Let dry as needed.
Next, in your Silhouette Studio® software program again, size and cut the base layer of the Valentine’s Monsters using Silhouette Double-sided Adhesive.
Cut the top layer of the Valentine’s Monsters out of scrapbook paper or cardstock.
Remove the top white layer from the double-sided adhesive of your Valentine’s Monsters. Make sure not to remove the adhesive from the yellow liner.
Carefully center and place the top layer of your Valentine’s Monster (cut from scrapbook paper or cardstock) on top of the base layer of your Valentine’s Monster (cut from double-sided adhesive) and press into place. Note: Double-sided adhesive forms a very strong bond and should only be used in it’s permanent location.
Add additional elements like googly-eyes, ribbons, string, etc., you want to stick to an adhesive surface before adding glitter.
(Tip: Perform the next steps on a mat or extra sheet of paper to easily clean-up and save excess glitter for use at a later date.)
Liberally add Silhouette Glitter Colors on top of your Valentine’s Monster. Gently brush glitter around with your Silhouette brush tool to completely cover all of the double-sided adhesive surfaces.
Gently brush away excess glitter with the Silhouette brush tool.
Remove the yellow liner from the back of your Valentine’s Monster and place on your 3D Tote Box as desired and press into place.
For Additional Word-Art or Elements
Cut additional word-art or elements you want to add glitter to on double-sided adhesive.
Remove the bottom yellow liner from additional word-art or elements you cut using double-sided adhesive and position on 3D Tote Box as desired. Press into place.
Remove the top white liner and liberally add glitter or flocking powder to all adhesive surfaces. Remove excess glitter using your brush tool.
