Instructions:
Wine Glasses
- Wipe Dollar Store Wine Glasses with Rubbing Alcohol to clean.
- Wrap Wine Glasses with Patterning Tape slightly above the top of the glass stem. Since the glasses are round, I found it easier to use small pieces of patterning tape and layer them to create a circle around the glass.
- Paint the Wine Glass stems with Glass Paint Metallic color Black Nickel until covered using the Large Nylon Bristle Brush.
- Let dry as directed.
- Repeat step #3 and #4 to create a second coat.

- Using the small bat from Adhesive Stencils Holiday Icons II, paint two black bats on one side of the Wine Glass with Glass Paint Metallic color Black Nickel using the Large Nylon Bristle Brush.
- Let dry as directed.
- Repeat step #6 and #7 to create a second coat.
Wine Charms
- Using the small bat from Adhesive Stencils Holiday Icons II and the large bat from Martha Stewart Stencils Holiday Icons, paint a variety of bats on the Printable Plastic with Multi Surface Satin Acrylic Craft Paint in colors Granny Smith, Carrot and Arrowhead.
- Let dry as directed.
- Repeat step #1 and #2 to create a second coat.
- Carefully cut out bats.
- Using a punch or small nail, punch a hole in each bat for securing to a ring.
- Layer 1-2 bats on each ring and attach to the stem of each wine glass.

Very cute, Stacy! Your guests are going to love these!
Very cute Stacy! Love the little bats at the bottom – such a fun touch!
Thanks Amy! I’m always looking for wine charms so I thought I’d try my hand at making my own.
Such a fun project! I like the bats… but I love that the stems were painted black! It kicks the whole project up a notch! Beautifully done!
Thanks Carolina! I couldn’t resist the black stems.
Simple and dramatic. I really like the restraint of just 2 bats on the glass. They look great!
Thanks Heather!
