With anniversaries and relationships come a lot of things. There’s responsibility, trust, love, and many others.
I have been with my boyfriend now for almost 7 years this coming December, and while it hasn’t always been roses and chocolates, we’ve somehow always seemed to make it work for us, even if we had a little help along the way.
Life has it’s own way of throwing curve balls at you at the most unexpected times, but how you choose to handle the situation is what matters the most. If your relationship is that special to you, then it really shouldn’t matter what the problem is, because everything can be fixed with time, love and understanding. Depending on what it is, some things can take longer to fix, but if you are with someone and you truly love them, then it shouldn’t matter the obstacle.
While I’m not married, I do look at my relationship as being married because of the length of time that we have been together for, as well as, I don’t really think I have met any other couple that has gone through as many challenges and ups and downs in their relationship as mine. But the best part is, I wouldn’t trade it for the world, because I love my boyfriend with all of my heart and I know that no matter what, we can get through anything.
My advice for everyone is to not sweat the small stuff. No one is perfect, it just matters how you decide you want to handle the situation. Don’t go to bed mad either. Once the day is over, make up and let tomorrow be a new day! And love your significant other with all of your heart!
